Dr. Vijayakumar. R is a specialist in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. He graduated (BDS) from JKK Nataraja Dental College and went on to pursue his masters in Pediatric Dentistry(MDS) from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai.
A known academician, Dr. Vijayakumar is presently working as Professor, Department of Pedodontics, Best Dental Science College, Madurai and has been previously associated with reputed institutions like Sri Ramachandra University and SRM Dental College, Chennai. He has various national and international publications to his name. With over 15 years of exclusive Pediatric practise, he is well-versed with various behaviour management techniques and up to date with the latest developments in the field of Pediatric Dentistry.

He has extensive experience in oral rehabilitation in children and adolescents under conscious sedation and general anaesthesia. He takes keen interest in treating children with special needs and children with medical problems. He instills a positive attitude in the children towards dental care so that they become orally healthy adults.
An active member of Indian society of Pedodontic and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) and IDA, Dr. Vijayakumar has conducted dental camps in various parts of the state to promote the importance of milk teeth.
When not working. Dr. Vijayakumar, father of two kids is busy parenting.
