Dr. C. Vinodh, Senior Consultant in Neonatal and Pediatric Medicine at Rio Super Specialty Children’s Hospital, did his Under graduation, M.B.,B.S. ( 1999 – 2005 ) from Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli and Post graduation, D.N.B Pediatrics ( 2008 – 2011 ) from Masonic Medical Centre for Children, Coimbatore. He received his Specialty training in Neonatal Intensive Care, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Neonatal Intensive Care, F.N.I.C ( 2015 – 2016 ), from G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital ( GKNM ), Coimbatore.
He has expertise in successfully managing high risk and sick neonates, Extreme Preterm and Low Birth Weight babies in NICU, esp. tertiary level care, during his time in GKNM and Rio Super specialty Children’s Hospitals.

He is well versed in performing Neonatal and Pediatric interventions. He has effectively managed babies with moderate to severe Birth Asphyxia with Therapeutic Hypothermia with Cerebral Function Monitoring and aEEG. He has a special interest in monitoring Neuro Developmental outcomes of High Risk Neonates and young Children.
He was awarded the ‘Doctor of Excellence Award’ in the year 2010 by K. Govindaswamy Naidu Trust Hospitals ( KG Hospital ), Coimbatore. He is a currently an Executive Board Member of Madurai Neonatology Association. He is much interested in academic activities. He had been a faculty in State level Neonatology Conference. He is a certified National Instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (under NNF). He has done a study on ‘Anthropometric Outcomes of Neonates born to Gestational Diabetic Mothers’ at GKNM Hospital and has presented the same in State Conference. He is actively involved in conducting various training programs for Pediatricians, Obstetricians and Staff Nurses. He is a life member of ‘Indian Academy Of Pediatrics’ (IAP) and ‘National Neonatology Forum’ (NNF).
